4×4 rollover on Brooker Highway closes road, injures driver

The driver of a 4×4 has been taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital with injuries after rolling their vehicle.

The car rolled onto its roof on the Brooker Highway outside Goodwood Primary School at 9pm on Thursday.

Police initially classified the crash as serious and closed the highway between Lampton Avenue and Howard Road as a result.

Northbound traffic was diverted along Lampton Avenue for over an hour while the scene was cleared.

Police have since confirmed that the driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The vehicle, however, was extensively damaged and will likely be written off.
