Another NADRA Mega Centre established in Karachi at Safoora Chorangi

A new National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) Mega Centre has been set up at Karachi’s Safoora Chorangi, aiming to provide enhanced facilitation to citizens, as reported by ARY News on Tuesday.

Scheduled to be inaugurated on May 15, the newly established Mega Centre will cater to the residents of Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Safoora, Gadap, and surrounding areas.

According to NADRA Director General Ehtesham Shahid, the Mega Centre will operate in two shifts, from 8 AM to 12 PM, with plans to accommodate over 700 individuals initially. This capacity is expected to increase to 1500 individuals by the end of the year.

The Mega Centre boasts air-conditioned halls, ample seating arrangements, and convenient parking facilities for visitors. It features a total of 20 operational counters to streamline service delivery.

Inside the Mega Centre, a spacious waiting room with 250 seats has been designated for the comfort of applicants.

Moreover, DG NADRA announced plans to establish two more registration centers in different areas of Karachi to further enhance accessibility for citizens.

In a related development, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi recently announced the abolition of the NADRA death certificate fee during his visit to the NADRA headquarters. He instructed authorities to ensure the security of citizens’ data and praised the exemplary performance of NADRA Chairman Lieutenant General Muhammad Munir Afsar.

As part of a plantation campaign, Minister Naqvi also planted saplings on the lawn of the NADRA headquarters, emphasizing environmental sustainability alongside administrative reforms.
