Elections 2024: ANC routs EFF, Zuma’s MK Party in by-elections on the platinum belt

In the last by-election before the general election main event, the ANC retained a ward by trouncing both its former president Jacob Zuma’s uMkhonto weSizwe Party and the EFF on Wednesday.

The ruling party flexed its might in that ward, romping to a victory over its political foes in the Ward 1 by-election on the platinum belt in the Bojanala Platinum District Municipality.

There were a total of 2268 votes, with 19 spoilt ballots of the 2287 votes cast.
