Confronting footage has emerged of a man charging at a bus with an axe after he was ordered to get off.

The shocking incident occurred on a Transperth bus travelling between Fremantle and Murdoch in Perth on Thursday.

It’s understood that the man got on the bus at Morley train station and began arguing with a woman he appeared to know.
